    A guess: seyon looks for its startup (config) files first in the
current directory, then in the DIRECTORY called $HOME/.seyon.
If you had garbage in $HOME/.seyon, then something like this could happen
if you were in any directory outside of /usr/src/seyon, which has
sample scripts in it. In fact as I recall an early version of seyon
used a FILE called $HOME/.seyon, which could really lead to confusion.
