Why put limitations in at all? 16 devices seems to be a bit limited. If you
only need to cover 8 partitions on each LUN, then you can use three bits for
the partition, and then 5 bits for the devices, allowing 32 devices...
Or better yet, come up with a scheme that encompases the full SCSI bus
definition.
