Subject: [Q] anyone with 20meg ram in linux?
Date: Fri, 5 Feb 1993 01:21:52 GMT

Hello.
Today I added 16meg (4 4x9 simms) to my PC increasing its memory to
20 meg. But when I booted linux (SLS .99p4), it seems to recognize
only 16meg. is this normal? Specifically,
The boot up sequence reports that I have 16???/16??? Kbyte memory.
When I boot via DOS, it recognize 20 megs.

I am using 386-40 with AMI BIOS with 8 simms slots.
4 slots are occupied by 1 meg simms and 4 slots are
occupied by 4 meg simms.

Thank You.
