Subject: Need help with SLS installation on a SCSI
Date: 4 Feb 1993 05:29:53 GMT

I am trying to install Linux on my new 520 M scsi controller, But linux
refuses to acknowlege that it exists. The controller is a UltraStore
14F and is set up as a third drive. The first two drives are on my
RLL controller and have no problems. I can get the scsi drive to work in
DOS, but when I go to linux.. it "disappears". In other words, if I boot
linux then do a soft reboot, my computer acts like the scsi controller
doesn't exist. If a do a hard reset then it works fine. I am not new to
unix but new to linux.. so I am lost as to why it does this, especially
when the FAQ says that it supports the Ultra 14F.

   Any ideas are welcome.
