I'm running a 486-33 with 8Mb RAM, but I would suggest you seriously
consider upping the memory to 16Mb (or 12Mb depending on what the
maotherboard allows). 8Mb will run X just fine with three or four
X terminals, but don't then try to compile anything serious or you'll
end up with all your memory in swap. Also programs like XV and other
more memory-intensive ones quickly take the 8Mb to ransom when X is
running.
The rest of your setup is fine though.
