I saw a few days ago a post about someone having
floppies errors during the booting of disk a1.
I have been using Linux without a problem since
October and recently got a new verson of SLS (on
Jan 28). I simply wanted to upgrade to the latest
version. I couldn't get it to boot, as after
I was prompted for the VGA mode, I soon started
getting the same floppy errors as mentioned in
the previous message. Was an answer ever given
to this problem? Did the poster ever find out
what was going on? Please help, I miss Linux!!
The system I have is a Gateway 2K 66V (ISA).

Also, like the poster, the drive checks out
in the PC diagnostics...
