The byte filesystem benchmarks on our main work machine (Adaptec 1542B) are about
even between SCO and Linux running ext2fs. This disappointed me because
SCO _isn't_ that hot on filesystem peformance. On the other hand Linux is
better than a top end HP workstation at pipe read/write throughput!
