There now that I have your attention, perhaps you can help me with this
problem.

I know of somebody who is attempting to install Linux 1.03 on their IBM
PS/1 486sx/33 system. However, Linux will not recognize his 170 meg IDE
hard drive. Has anybody else experienced this problem? If so, how do I
go about fixing it.

The message given upon execution of Fdisk is: Error reading/dev/hda

When you run the installation program it says: Linux cannot find any hard
disks.

The odd thing is, Linux installs perfectly on my 386/40DX. Is this just
another problem with Linux SLS 1.03? If so, is there a fix for it? Any
help would be appreciated.
