From: hm@opus40 (Harald Milz) Subject: [Q] How to recognize G3 file resolution? Date: Tue, 10 Aug 1993 15:36:44 GMT
Hi there,
I installed Gert Doering's mgetty-sendfax recently and happily expanded
my printcap to ease the printing of received faxes. Presently, there
are two input filters, one for low resolution (100x200) and one for
high res (200x200). The inconvenience is, I never know which resolution
the received fax really is. Hence, is there a way to recognize the
resolution before printing and thus to decide which scaling should be
used in the filter (i.e. pnmscale)?
Help appreciated, and if there's interest, I would be willing to post all
that stuff (i.e. printcap and the filters).
