i got tha sound package from tsx-11, configured my kernel to work
with sound, and compiled o.k. (except for two warnings about
pointers; refferring to dsp_something or another,)) but now...
i got a problem. everytime i try to run a sound program, it says
/dev/xxxx: device not found, where xxxx is the name of the device
i supposedly created with the script found in /linux/k/ch*/sound/Readme
file. i assume that it didn't make the device correctly, 'cause i
see the sound devices in my /dev directory (dsp, sequencer, etc.)
. do tha sound things even work?? (apparently so, since they're still
available). i'm running 0.99pl10, got a proaudio spectrum 16 board
and that's about all you should have to know if anyone can (and wants to
help me)... thanx!
