Subject: Slackware missing basic stuff...
Date: 10 Aug 1993 15:58:02 GMT

I installed the Slackware 1.01 package with X11 on Friday 8-6 then read
Linus's post about the official pl12alpha on Saturday and wondered if
Slackware might be upgraded to this version. Sure enough, on Sunday
there was a new version (1.01?) with new disks a1disk, a2, a3, a5, a8
and a12 so I installed the whole package again. Of course as Murphy was
present; Some basic commands such as vi, rm, mkdir... etc. are nowhere
to be found! I have not seen any other similar posts so I decided to be
the first to complain :)

Can anyone shed some light on the matter?

Thanks,
