Subject: Help! Xfree 1.3 won't recognize my Busmouse
Date: Tue, 10 Aug 1993 14:20:52 GMT

Apologies if this should be on the X newsgroup, but I'm not sure this is an
Xfree problem.

I just installed a recent slackware package, which includes Xfree1.3. I can't
get startx going. I have:

ATI Vantage with inport mouse at IRQ5
/dev/mouse is major 10, minor 3
Xconfig uses Busmouse with /dev/mouse.
I'm using the mono server as an easier test, although I get similar problems
with the 8514 server.

All the above used to work with an earlier TAMU distribution with Xfree 1.2.
Now, I get the stuff below from startx. Please, any suggestions would be
appreciated - I don't want to go back to the older version.
