There is a powerful tool for this type of problems provided by Peter
MacDonald in the form of the /install/installed directory. In several cases,
when I didn't know what filenames exaxtly to look for and where to look, the
package lists in this directory showed me exactly what I wanted to know.
Especially in this case remembering a topic "keytables" from the pl10
release notes, the contents of /install/installed/keytbls inspired me enough
to try /etc/loadkeys </etc/keymap/gr-latin1.map to instantly get my
german keyboard supported (without waiting several minutes for a new kernel
to be built).
