Subject: Logitech bus mouse & X & Alpha-PL12 no good

As you might guess by now, with Alpha-PL12 I cannot get mouse to work.
When I start openwin, and have virtual window manager on, I have
mouse pointer there. Now I move mouse. It jerks 10's cms around (on
17" screen) and then mouse pointer disappears. Anyone seen this?

Graphics board is ATI Graphics + X server 8514/A. It worked just fine
with PL11 & AlphaPL11. Linux recognizes mouse at boot:
