Subject: X windows !work under Pl11?
Date: Sun, 8 Aug 1993 22:23:56 GMT

I just got the Pl11 kernel and tried booting up with it
everything worked fine except that X windows wouldn't
start. I logged in over ethernet and started it up remotely,
all the text it printed out seemed correct, but then it
just sat there. With X and xinit running but using 0% CPU
time. I tried starting an X term and it also just sat
there using 0% CPU time. I assume the X server is getting
stuck at some point during startup after doing the listen()
command.

Did I miss something about having to upgrade X servers
for pl11? I assume its something to do with the mmap changes
since everything else seems to work fine.

I guess I'll try downloading a newer server and see what
happens.
