Subject: [Q] Installation from Slackware 1.00

Hello Linux world,

I'm trying to install Linux from Slickware 1.00 diskettes
        I did it for 'a' and 'x' series (like 'a', 'b' and 'x')
on 486DX33/4/120 computer. 'a' was installed without any
problem, but on a8 I answered 'no' to the question if
        I want to install bc(1). I'm bc(1) addict, so I decided
to reinstall Linux -:(. I installed all the 'a' seria,
all is worked (gcc 2.4.5 and the other stuff)

I rebooted with DOS, deleted partitions, booted from a1,
        created partitions (/dev/hda1 - 30M, hda2 - 20M. hda3 -
        70M, mke2fs -c {all prttitions}, mkswap /dev/hda2 20000,
swapon /dev/hda2 - NO problems). Then I did

        doinstall /dev/hda1 /dev/hda3 /usr

Slackware asked some questions, asked to insert a2, read
something from it, mounted /dev/hda1 and hda3, created
something on them .. and died! Nothing is read, nothing is
written, Ctrl-C returns me to the prompt.

What does it mean? Any hints?
