I would like to say that the dog ate my homework, but
I have to confess that I didn't do my homework at all.
I complained that the error message cc1 got signal 11
was unexplained. Not exactly true.
Just as there is a linux.faq, there is a gcc.faq available
from sunsite.unc.edu as GCC-FAQ under /pub/Linux/docs/
Signal 11 seems to be a mysterious error that can be
due to a parity error. In my case it seems that my memory is
temperature sensitive, and that I got the error when I did
the make around 4am, just after getting up. I let the machine
run and this afternoon all went well.
I would like to collect all the FAQ's that should be
read by Linux wannabees, so if anyone knows of others
I would like the information.
Thanks.
