Even Word for Windows isn't really WYSIWYG. I always have to use draft
or outline mode. The systems I've used are unusable in layout mode.

AISB (As I've Said Before), something like tkWWW's editor that is
pseudo WYSIWYG, that outputs LaTeX that you could hand-edit if necessary,
with xdvi and ghostscript running in other windows, would be a nice Linux
solution.
