From: michaelw@desaster.hanse.de (Michael Will) Subject: 99p10: taylor-uucp and net means trouble? Date: Wed, 4 Aug 1993 20:32:22 GMT
Hello,
I have been using taylor-uucp 1.04 happily for a while now, but somewhere
upgrading my kernel/lib/compiler the i-protocol stopped working as happily
as it did before.
Now I installed a little ethernet, and it has almost stopped working even
with g-protocoll?!
In the logfile it states:
uucico... ERROR: write: I/O error
twice, and then it says: Call complete, without being complete of course.
transmission simply stopped.
I had some trouble with the net anyway, I had to down the lo-device in order
to be able to use the eth0. If I say ifconfig lo up again, no ping to the
outer would works anymore. if I say "ifconfig lo down" it works again.
Inconvenient...
Cheers, Michael Will
