The video boards don't use SIMMs, and a SIMM is _much_ more expensive
than just straight RAM chips. I don't know about bulk pricing or
what prices are after the plant fire (epoxy plant is what I heard. It
makes the black epoxy used for DIP casings), but at the beginning of
the summer 1 MB was about 5 bucks.
