That would be me. At first, replies were slow in coming and
it didn't look like it would work, but I was still getting responses
at the end of last week (really makes you wonder about the speed of some
people's News feeds :-)), so at this point the project looked like it's
time to get documentation from Adaptec and ask for more formal
commitments based on what I find out.

I'll make a post after I've read the documentation from Adaptec and
know what will be involved.
