Subject: net-2, pl11a, SLIP kernel panic

        I am having trouble seting SLIP up on my machine. Here is the problem
I use kermit to dial my local terminal server and start teh slip commection
then escape back to my machine and type "ifconfig sl0 128.174.22.247 netmask
255.255.254.0 pointopoint 128.174.22.1 mtu 1500". I then get the following
error message "SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such device or address". However if I try
the command again it seems to work, so I procede with teh folloeing route
command "route add default gw 128.174.22.1". I trhen get the following error
message:
Destination netaddress Gateway address Flags RefCnt Use Iface
unable to handle kernel paging request at c0000000
Ops: 0002
EIP: 0010:0012E15E
EFLAGS: 00010297
ETC...... (I can send teh rest to who ever thinks they might be able to help
)
