From: mr2@netcom.com (Jongyoon Lee) Subject: Telnet Connection Refused error. Date: Sun, 1 Aug 1993 05:37:07 GMT
Hi netters!
I'm (still) trying to setup the NET-2 package. All seems to work fine
except for telnet and ftp (and rlogin and rsh and..).
I gave up on named, and using loopback. I have "order hosts bind" in
/etc/host.conf, "ALL: ALL" in /etc/hosts.allow, and nothing in /etc/hosts.deny.
But somehow it still doesn't let me telnet to my own machine.
This is annoying especially when I use term to connect to my dialup.
I can't log onto my machine from outside even if I redirect the port.
I followed NET-2-FAQ step by step, but it still doesn't solve the problem.
Someone please help me!
