I've installed X386 & X386mono from the SLS 1.01 distribution (obtained last Sunday) without any problems at all. The previous SLS 1.00 release was fine too. Although the binaries are the same size, the insides aren't. Check it out with diff. You'll find that in the latest release of XFree86, the binaries are clearly of a different size.
