   Hi everybody,

I've installed Linux for awhile, but I've been trying to start
Xwindow in vain. I've tried with so many configuration but
still did nothing :( Would you please help me out of this
terrible problem? Below is some info about the monitor:

   Trident VGA 512Kb

SKY 14" Super VGA Color Monitor SVGA-1404
   [various monitor details elided]

Well, that's it. Would you please tell me how should I make my Xconfig to
enable me to run Xwindow properly?

   Thank you in advance!!

Try the settings in /usr/lib/X11/etc/README.trident. They worked
perfectly for me the first time I tried them with my very similar
setup (I have a TVGA 9000 with 512K). With only 512K you can get
800x600 8-bit color. If you can stand monochrome mode then you
can get the full 1024x768 with X386mono.
