I am fairly new to Linux and was wondering where I might
find information of /proc fs. I checked the FAQ and it only
mentioned that it exists but not what it does (in detail anyway).
    Can someone enlighten me.

Another point I would like comments on. I am doing
a Master/PhD project where we need a small real time
test bed. I am planning to strip down the Linux kernel
and use this as a basis for our system. Are there any
problems with me doing this either legally, morally or
physically (and maybe mentally :^> ). I know it won't
be easy but I am allowing a few months (4-8) to do it.
I would appreciate any comments. You may want to e-mail
me if you dont think this is of interest to others.

    Thanks in advance
    Tony Nelson.

And as the mist settled on the mountain top,
It all became clear, Yet I was still confused.
