Subject: Zsh/Minicom problem

I've been having a problem with Minicom lately. When I shell out of it
using control-A, control-J, it drops me into the shell just fine and
if I return with "exit", everything is cool. But, if I exit with
"clear; exit", when minicom returns, it dumps core and exits with
SIGUSR. Can anyone explain this? Just an extra note, if I clear the
screen and then exit (i.e., put the commands on seperate lines), everything
is okay so the problem seems to be when I combine commands. Any help
on this would be appreciated
