I am contemplating the purchase of a new video card, and would like some
recommendations from people with experience. These are the minimum
features I am considering:
hardware bitblts
at least 15 bit truecolor at 800x600
local bus
(obviously) support for linux.
Right now I am considering a Cirrus based card, it seems to provide what
I am looking for. But I don't know if X will support it. If you can
comment on the Cirrus, or suggest a suitable alternative, I'd like
to hear about it. For that matter, I'll take comments for non local-bus
boards also and post a summary if there is interest. So please respond
