Subject: "inserted wrong disk?" NO!
Date: Sun, 25 Apr 1993 18:35:10 GMT

Hi, linuxers
I had linux 0.99, p.7 nicely running on a second IDE that I had on
my 386-40, 8 meg, no co-processor, when I thought: let's buy a
200 Meg for linux.
Now It seems Linux won't let itself installed again.
When I insert the a3 disk, it keeps complaining about the wrong
disk, although I checked and double checked and copied and double
copied the SLS-disks (yes, the file 'diska3' is on it, no read-errors
in DOS and the weather is fine.)
Now I really *need* to do some work at home in unix. Who can suggest
a solution... please?
Hans Paijmans.
PS. the new hard disk is an ALPS 210 meg, 527 cyl, 16 heads, 49 sectors
it sez on the specs. the first hard disk is a maxtor 203 Meg. I tried any
disk, any size of partition and any partition type...

Paai.
