PC hardware sure is fun ... NOT.
One machine here exhibits the following problem:
- Setup: Adaptec, FD/IDE controller, Elite ethernet card.
- Do anything with simultaneous access to SCSI and Ethernet. Machine hangs
within a few minutes at most.
- Shutdown, pull the FD/IDE controller, tell the BIOS that there are no
floppies. Now Linux runs flawlessly.
