AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

I've been getting these since at least 99p7a and maybe all the way
back to 99p6. Back then I was using SLS 99p4 with the new kernel source
and Tuucp 1.03.

I just compiled the 1.04 Tuucp code with a few patches and I don't think
I've got the I/O Write errors anymore.

Instead I've got a bunch of stale lock files. Tuucp doesn't seem to be
rm'ing the lock files after disconnecting.

I'm also getting bogus xfer rates reported on small files in xferstats.
The 38400 baud rate into the modem combined with the buffer in the modem
is confusing Tuucp.

P.S. This is all WITH a 16550.
