I installed Linux SLS for the first time yesterday, and so far everything
seems to going well .... however, Lilo won't modify my OS/2 Boot Manager
partition, so I can boot from my hard drive. It says something along the
lines of "First boot sector does not have a valid LILO signiature".

I can't figure out what this means .... I followed the instructions in the
FAQ. Here are the specifics of my setup :
        - 2 physical IDE drives
        - Drive 1 : - 1 MB OS/2 Boot Manager
                    - 35 MB OS/2 HPFS (primary partition)
                    - 82 MB Linux Ext2FS (primary partition)
        - Drive 2 : - 102 MB OS/2 HPFS (logical partition)
        - Trident TVGA8900C with 1 MB
        - MouseSystems and Microsoft compatible serial mouse

I added Linux to the Boot Manager menu, and OS/2's FDisk has the nerve to
tell me that my Linux partition is unformatted (therefore, it won't boot
Linux from Boot Manager).
I also can not get X-Windows to start up properly. I played around with the
Xconfig file, but the entire system locks up on me after an initial empty
gray screen is displayed with a mouse pointer that won't move.
If anyone has a similar setup, could you please mail me any setup files I
may need.

Can anyone help me out with these two problems ?

Thanks .... R. Gundecha
