Hi,
I would generally agree with all the comments about the TAMU Linux, its
great to be able to load everything in one go, (in about 25 minutes), and
everything including the X windows and rebuilding the kernel actually works.

The only problem I have is with LILO, I have a SCSI harddisk connected to
an adaptec 1542b. To get LILO to work, I have to do several things :-

1) edit disktab and insert values taken from fdisk (but disk size taken
from dparam.com, when booted from dos)

2) create a /etc/lilo directory (otherwise for lilo to use)

3) change all the paths in config to include /mnt infront of /etc/lilo

4) Then run lilo with the -v -v -v options on to make sure it is'nt
        complaining about anything.
NB lilo seems to have a habit of not giving you any warnings that it
has'nt actually managed to do its job fully, (when the verbose
        switches are not on !!)

I still don't seem to be able to get lilo to work when I boot from floppy !

All that said, I would thoroughly recomment TAMU.
