Hi there!

I sometimes have X crash on me and although the machine is still
alive, I have to reboot or connect through a serial terminal to restart X.

However, it would be great is I could, after startx dies (peacefully
or crasig and leaving the screen/kbd dead) restart the VGA mode available
and the keyboard responsiveness. Is there such a program to do that?

I could, of course, loop on startx, but then I could not go back to the
text mode to log out and let log in with another user.

I figure I could write the program myself, it has to be somewhat easy,
right?

I have an S3 Local Bus video card (Volante Warp 10LB) on a 486/DX2-66.
I use XS3, with good results (execpt that it crashes sometimes).

So, any solutions available?

Thanks a lot in advance,
