FSF is engaged in a boycott of Apple products. This is in response to
Apple's claim that it owns the visual and behavioral aspects of the
Macintosh display, regardless of what program might be presenting
them; this is why Apple took Microsoft to court over Windows.

FSF will allow you to port GNU programs to any platform you wish, but
they won't help port to Apple, they'll request that all knowledgeable
FSF developers not help you, and they won't merge any of the changes
you made back into the distributed GNU program sources. You would
therefore be totally on your own. Or, perhaps you could charter the
Apple Free Software Alliance to help you make Apple versions of GNU
programs.
