I also have the SoundBlaster Multimedia Upgrade kit, and have installed the Beta
Windows / NT from it - Windows / NT does not, however recognize the CD-ROM.
The Windows / NT Beta provides an option to install from DOS, since Windows / NT
can use the same old FAT as its file system. Sooo, this in no way says anything
about SBpro CD-ROM being SCSI or not. I have heard it is a SCSI deviant, but
I know nothing about the Panasonic drive being SCSI with an add-on card (could
be correct-I would certainly be pleased if I could just buy a cheapo SCSI card
and not have to write a driver to use my CD-ROM with windows/NT and Linux!
I have been trying fruitlessly to get ahold of Creative Labs Tech support, as
they must be working on drivers for NT (or at least supporting Microsoft in
that effort), and should be willing to help someone like me who wants to write
a Linux CD-ROM driver for it. Has anyone gotten any information from them?
Does anyone who worked on the SCSI drivers have any words of advice?
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Creative Labs - are you out there????
