I'm a student here at the U very interested in installing Linux on my PC. My
computer is a 486DX/33-VLB, 8MB RAM, and a Western Digital WD2255 HD. My video
card is an ATI Graphics Ultra Pro VLB with 1MB RAM.

My question is, will Linux support my SVGA card in, at least, some VGA mode?
My main concern is the ability to run Xwindows under linux...

If this card isn't suppored, will there be plans to do so? I'd be nice to see a
VESA register accessing driver for SVGA cards. Hint Hint to all of you hard core
linux developers!

Please send me email: bentlema@cda.mrs.umn.edu
Thanks!

Any information would be GREATLY appreciated!
