I'm experiencing some problems with my microsoft bus mouse and X.

I had pl6 running from tsx-11 with no problmes.... then I decided to install pl8.

After untaring and recompiling the kernel, X no longer recognizes the mouse, giving
a message something like:

        core devices not found

The kernel compile went without any problems; also, there is a /dev/bmousems
linked to /dev/mouse, with minor 2.

Any clues?

Also, being an unsure neophyte, I'm a little confused as how to change patch levels
(like, I'm I doing the right thing...)

Specifically, is it alright to upgrade from pl6--->pl8 with out first going through pl7A?

Or, should I use the diff's instead?

Thanks-in-advance,

Bob
