1) Make directory /X
2) Do a "mount /dev/whatever /X" in /etc/fstab
3) Do a "ln -s /X /usr/X386" (first make sure you don't already have a
directory /usr/X386 - if so do "rm -r ..."
and kill it)
4) Re-boot, make sure your new file system (/X) can be found an /usr/X386.
5) #menu (one of the options allows you to install X. Select it)
6) Check your /usr/X386/lib/X11/Xconfig.
7) If your VGA is < 512K you must use X386mono (ln -s X386mono X)
8) Make sure you have LOTS of coffee when you get to step 6!!!
