The problem is probably with the Texel. There is a known firmware bug
in x024 which results in scsi bus lockups. You must have firmware on the texel
with a version later than 1.05 - if you have 1.05 or earlier you will probably
have difficulties. I understand that for 19.95$ you can get a firmware upgrade
from Texel (the bug was fixed in 1.06, but the current version is 1.09). Your
warranty does not cover the upgrade, so you always have to fork over the dough.
I can provide more info that I have clipped from the alt.cd-rom newsgroup for
anyone that wants it.
