One other minor point, in addition to restrictions on the material that may
be broadcast over amateur radio, one must also have a valid amateur license. I don`t
know what is happening in Canada these days, but the FCC is levying some pretty large
fines for relatively minor infractions down here.

I don't want to discourage you from using packet radio, just be sure you are legal.
