From: kush@netcom.com (Aaron Kushner) Subject: Getting SEYON working Date: Tue, 13 Apr 1993 20:39:46 GMT
Recently installed the latest SLS distribution using the a1.test disk
and then went on to install c series, X, and part of the b series.
Tried to get Seyon working from the binary distribution...No go... Error
came back saying something to the effect "Incompatible with version of
shared libraries" Did a ldd seyon and it reported that it was linked
with lib.so.4.3 which is what SLS has.
Any idea what was wrong with the binary?
Decided to get the source and compiled it myself. When I tried to run it,
it gave the error "No such file or directory, extras menu file
usr/lib/.text_extras_menu (Textsw package)"
And terminated the seyon window.
What is the Textsw package? Where can I find it?
One last question: The a1.test disk displays different colors for file
names, directories, links, etc. When I made my bootdisk, it uses plain
white characters. How do I get the different colors back?
Thanks for the help,
Aaron
