Hello,

        I apologize for asking such an overdone question, but I simply
have NOT been able to get serial logins to work with Linux (SLS .99p6)
I've looked everywhere (well, obviously not everywhere, but close) and
tried everything (except the way that works) but have had no luck. Could
someone summarize what needs to be done to get serial logins from either
another machine or a modem to work? I've tried what's in the FAQ, but
it doesn't work.
