I always thought of it as a Canadian phenonemon myself :-). I have
seen the borealis in central Minnesota (Minneapolis is right at 45 degrees
lattitude, which in Europe runs through the Mediteranian, just south of Venice
Italy), so I suppose that it was an unusual evening. But I digress...

I have no problem with the borealis in a logo, but I would guess that
most people would need it explained to them. Even though it would be nice to
have something with a Finnish motif to honor the Finnish origins, Linux is such
a worldwide phenomenon that something more general might be appropriate (and
probably easier to come up with). Actually, I am quite satisfied with the
original inverted triangle logo.
