I don't know what the previous post had to do with reasons to
remove Windows from your PC, but here is a good reason to:

      VIRUSES!!!!!!

Yes, one of these critters got onto my DOS partition. In the
process of recovering that partition I obcourse lost my linux
partition again due to CPTOOLS. However, this time I was pre-
pared, and able to recover my linux partition fairly quickly.
(The real pain is that I had forgotten to update my boot
disk for ext2fs.)
