Hi..

I just downloaded the source for minicom, and it compiled
without a problem...but it doesn't quite run without one :(

First off, I'm going to ask the most FAQ that I've asked in
a while...how do you set up those dialin/dialout lines? Hmmm...bad
way to word it, as I know how to mknod the devices, but if I try
and use ttycua0 to dial out, it tells me it can't access the port,
yet if I disable uugetty on that port, it is fine. Now, I had
read something at one time about uugetty not being required anymore??
Something about just running getty on the lines?

Next question...when compiling minicom, one of the #define's in
the config.h file is for DFLT_BAUD (or something similar) and the default
is set to 38400...but when running the program, only up to 19200 is
available :( My one modem has its DTE locked at 38400 (a telebit), so
connecting at 19200 doesn't work :( Is there a newer version of minicom
out that goes about 19200?

Last...when running minicom, it seems like it is not interpreting
a carriage-return properly. It goes to the next line, but not to the
beginning, only to the position it ended the first time :( when it hits
the right edge, it just does 'char-by-char' down the right side of the
screen :( anyone have this experience? know what could be wrong?

Oh ya...and if I try to do a 'minicom -t term', like the man
pages for the progrm say allows to set a specific terminal setting for
while running minicom, minicom comes back with a usage error about
-t not being a valid option...is this a 'future' enhancement that is
documented today? :)

thanks...
