Subject: [WANTED] successful backup method

Hello,

I have been using linux for quite some time now, and I've been
backing up to tape. What I would like is responses from users as to
how they back up their system. I am looking for a very successfull and
efficient method of backing up my system.

Currently I back up to tape using tar and ddd (buffering package). This
seems to work ok, but upon restoring I get premature EOF's in the
archives.

If anyone can suggest a good method that works for them, could you
please reply to me, along with the programs you are using to
do the backups.

Thanks in advance...
