Subject: Question about ps-0.99.?? or <swap>
Date: 8 Apr 1993 20:00:25 GMT

This week I have compiled and installed LINUX-Version 0.99pl7A
After this I have called ps -U

Now (I think) the ps command don't show the right RSS value or the
<swap>-functions in linux-0.99pl7A have changed.
ps shows allways the same RSS values.

Before the linux-version 0.99pl7 the ps command shows under X that most of the
daemons are on the swap device (RSS = 0).

My configuration is 4M main memory , 16M swap device (486)

By the way, is it posibly to tell the kernel which processes have
more memory priority than other, so that the mouse will not block.
