Hey, folks,
I have a problem which happened many times when I tried to make a program.
This time I tried to make a bitmap editor, which is from export.lcs.mit.edu
(under /contrib). After downloaded it, I typied 'xmkmf' to produce the
'Makefile'. Then I started to 'make'. I got the following message:
make: *** No way to make target `/usr/X386/lib/libXaw.a'. Stop.
It's weird because there is no libX** stuffs in such directory, they are
located at '/usr/lib'. Both of them are real directory. I was suspended
because I don't know how to deal with the next step.
This problem happened whenever I tried to make the programs from the
export.lcs.mit.edu. Is it a problem of Linux setup, or the Imakefile? Please
help me. Thanks.
Any suggestion will be very appreciated.
