Hi Linuxers,
I've a problem with my lpd. When i start lpd, ps shows one lpd-process.
When there is something in the queue, lpd forks itself, so i see two
lpd-processes when i do ps. I think this is normal behavior.
When I print smal files (<2KB) everything works fine.
When files get bigger, the communication starts fine, but after some KB
the system sends double data. (i.e. merged with normal flow, there appear
packets from the start of the file, which already were send)
So the remote machine gets confused, and communication is restarted.
My Linux-system is a 486-33Mhz with 20MB Ram running SLS with kernel 99.6.
Telnet and other TCP/IP-applications work fine for me.
My remote-print-host is a charon-gateway, which works fine with our
Sun-Sparcs.
Any hints are greatly appreciated,
Michael
